Sweet, aromatic, and incredibly refreshing, Nam Hom is one of the world’s most prized coconut varieties.

Naturally isotonic and rich in electrolytes, the closest thing nature has to a sports drink, without the additives.

Certified organic and sourced directly from Liu’s farm, these fresh coconuts remain exceptionally rare in Europe.

How To Eat & Store

Opening method 1: without any special equipment

Insert a thin, pointed knife at several points into the flat side of the coconut. Once you find the soft eye, pierce it and insert a straw, or pour the water into a glass.
Once the coconut has been emptied of its water, hit it firmly against a hard surface, or better still, a hard edge, until the coconut cracks enough to be opened with your bare hands.
Eat the flesh with a spoon. If it is a little thick, loosen it by sliding a tablespoon between the flesh and the shell, with the rounded side facing the flesh.

Opening method 2: with a large knife

Use a large knife to trim the flat side of the coconut until the softer inner shell and one of the eyes become easier to spot.
Or use a sturdy sharp knife to carefully press into different spots on the flat side until you find the soft eye and pierce through.
Then, cut away a thin layer of fibers all around the coconut to expose the shell along its entire equator.
Finally, strike the coconut with a hammer, or against the edge of a hard corner or surface, all the way around its equator. After a few firm blows, it will split into two halves.

Opening method 3: with a machete

The traditional method used across tropical regions.

On the pointed end of the coconut, make 3 machete cuts to remove a triangular section of shell. Drink the coconut water through a straw or from a glass.
Once the coconut has been emptied, place it on a non-fragile surface and strike it firmly with the machete in the direction of the fibres until it splits in two.
Eat the flesh with a spoon. If it is a little thick, loosen it by sliding a tablespoon between the flesh and the shell, with the rounded side facing the flesh.

Opening method 4: with the “Coco Jack”

Use the T-shaped tool to pierce the flat side of the coconut and access the coconut water. You can also skip this step and start directly with the next one.
Place the dome-shaped tool over the pointed end of the coconut and strike it with the mallet. This cuts out a round lid (use the handle as a lever to remove the lid), giving access to the water and flesh.
To loosen the flesh, work through the round opening. Use the scraper (for thin flesh) or a spoon. If the flesh is a little thick, loosen it by sliding a tablespoon between the flesh and the shell, with the rounded side facing the flesh.

Keep refrigerated

Store in the refrigerator at 2-4°C upon receipt, after removing them from the box. There is no need to remove the plastic wrapping.
Best consumed within 2–3 weeks.

Ways to enjoy it

• Drink and eat it straight from the coconut
• Blend the water and flesh into a creamy coconut milk
• Mixed with fruits for smoothies or tropical desserts
• Blended into healthy creamy soups

Grown in Thailand on Liu’s certified organic farms, these young coconuts are harvested while full of sweet water. Their soft flesh and naturally floral aroma made this variety famous across Southeast Asia.

How It's Grown

Grown organically without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers. After harvest, the coconuts receive only gentle organic-certified treatments to preserve freshness naturally. To our knowledge, this is one of the only sources of certified organic fresh Nam Hom Pagode coconuts in Thailand.

Most coconut water sold in shops has been processed, stored for months, and packed in plastic-heavy packaging. Fresh young coconut is a completely different experience.

Open one and you’ll find naturally sweet coconut water that tastes clean, light, and genuinely refreshing.

These Nam Hom Pagode coconuts come from Thailand and are harvested young, when the water is at its sweetest and the flesh still soft enough to eat with a spoon. Each coconut contains around 350 ml of fresh coconut water, plus tender jelly-like flesh hidden inside.

Drink it ice cold after sport, in the sun, or whenever your body asks for something healthy and refreshing.

Then crack it open and scoop out the flesh. Soft, delicate, surprisingly satisfying, and far better than most people expect the first time they try it.

Nature really did a good job with this one.

Simply delicious!
